Job Description
General Purpose of Job:
Decontaminates, cleans and distributes supplies and equipment throughout the Hospital.
Essential Duties:
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.
- Decontaminating, cleaning, packaging, and delivering various supplies, instruments, and equipment
- Collecting used and credited supplies, instruments and equipment from all patient care areas
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment
- Assists in maintaining accurate levels of supplies and equipment at all times
- Unloading, storing, and reporting on errors of supplies and equipment at all times
- Oversees and monitors all orders received thru EPIC system and reports problems and/or difficulties in filling orders
- Assists in completing monthly shelf duties, weekly sterilizer cleaning and light housekeeping
- Pulling of supplies and instruments for case building per surgical schedule and placement of stock back to storage location from returns.
- Assist with stocking, inventory, and exchanging supply carts.
