JOB SUMMARY:

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin."

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Some duties and responsibilities of our Paint Line Powder Coater will include:

* Operation of the powder coat application system
* Maintaining parameters of control to achieve proper paint application
* Setting/storing and maintaining operation recipes in the automated system
* Controlling paint usage and film build on parts
* Maintaining paint inventory in a FIFO mode
* Maintaining a system to avoid cross-contamination of paint colors
* Responsible to determine when to change and clean system components
* Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products
* Maintains a safe, clean working environment
* Participates in quality improvement efforts
* Performs other duties as assigned by manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods
* Commitment to excellence and high standards
* Acute attention to detail
* Comfortable with an electric drill gun
* Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace

2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm) Mon - Friday. Some Saturdays.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
* Lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
* Walk, bend, and climb stairs.
* Stand for long periods of time.
* Wear appropriate safety equipment. (Safety Glasses)
