Improves, maintains, and repairs all equipment used in manufacturing, production, and packaging functions. Using thorough root cause analysis troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, and process issues. Improves, maintains, and repairs all equipment used in manufacturing, production, and packaging functions. Using thorough root cause analysis troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, and process issues. Utilizes proactive continuous improvement methodology to ensure maximum operating equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Supports planning, scheduling, and maintenance activities.
  • Proactively maintains all water treatment and distribution systems, on-demand boiler functions, and equipment including process water systems, boilers, and compressed air.
  • Regulatory and compliance record keeping for all systems.
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance (major and minor) of utility systems in multi-craft environments including PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical, electrical (480VAC, 220/240VAC, 120/208VAC, 24VDC), and general equipment repair.
  • Responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work order completion on time.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Practices 200% safety accountability in self and others.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Related technical field experience and or certification preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical schematics and the ability to troubleshoot/repair electrical circuits and controls is required.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • The ability to work in a cold environment is required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, production, packaging, and labeling equipment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of troubleshooting, comprehension, and operational experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Safe Quality Foods (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), 5S, and Lean Manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge and skill of MIG, TIG, fabrication, joining, and repair of varieties of metals including stainless steel for food grade applications, various production equipment, and structures.
  • Daily operation of smart manufacturing platform (PLEX) and Microsoft Office software applications.
