Job/Internship Description

Granger Construction is looking for a highly motivated Human Resources Intern for the summer of 2024! This individual will aid various department initiatives, ultimately impacting the overall success of the team and company. In return, the Human Resources Intern will receive hands-on exposure to the inner workings of a human resources department inside of a growing company. Ideal candidate will work out of our Lansing office (remote options not available). The candidate must be capable of working full time, 40 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will support Granger Construction's Human Resources Team with various internal projects and department initiatives, including but not limited to:

  • New employee onboarding
  • Support company's wellness initiatives
  • Internship program coordination and management
  • Assist in the maintenance and auditing of data; may perform some data entry
  • Coordination of training events
  • Support with other projects or functions as assigned
  • Other specific responsibilities may be determined based on need, opportunity, and the candidate's interests and skills.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • The ideal candidate will be a college student, with skills and interest in pursuing a career in human resources, business administration or a related field.
  • Candidates should have the ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment.
  • Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a willingness to focus on delivering a high level experience to others.
