WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Develop and/or administer the organization's employee benefits programs to include medical/dental coverage, short and long- term disability, group life insurance, retirement and savings programs, employee wellness programs and FLSA administration.

The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work remotely (100% from home). Preference for work hours will be EST hours.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD:

  • Evaluate current programs through research, surveys, and analysis of benefit trends to ensure plans are competitive in the current market and provide value to Red Cross employees.
  • Assess benefit plans and programs including Taft-Hartley plans for their cost-benefit, effect on the organization's financial statements and budgets, as well as the impact to employees and their wellbeing.
  • Develop recommendations for implementation of new programs, benefit options and/orrevision of current plans and programs.
  • With Red Cross Supply Management and outside consultants, manage Requests for Information (RFI) or Requests for Proposals (RFP) to identify vendors and partners to deliver revised or new plans and programs. Lead the implementation of program changes or new programs including appropriate communications for both regulatory and employee notifications.
  • Assist internal Red Cross service teams and third-party administrators regarding benefit administration issues including consultation regarding eligibility, plan provisions, contribution policies, enrollment, and legislative requirements.
  • Manage assigned program and/or project implementation and make significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to senior leadership, including corporate governance (Benefit Plan Committee and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Governors)

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - 95,000.

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related Health and Welfare experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system.


* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
