Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:

  • Complete assembly of automotive seating units
  • Develop proficiency in all production job functions and rotate in job cell into various workstations
  • Control processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
  • Maintain good housekeeping, safety, meet quality and efficiency standards
  • Restock work areas as needed to ensure proper workflow
  • Monitor production material quantities and report shortages
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 35 lbs. repeatedly
  • Complete, assembly of quality seating units
  • Walk, stand, reach, lift, bend, pull, push to move product through build process
  • Use of hand-held pneumatic tools
  • Operation of assembly fixtures
  • Housekeeping in and around work areas
  • Problem-solving of workplace issues
  • Quality inspections of work in progress
  • Work as part of a team to ensure an on-time quality product to our customers (internal and external)
  • Incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities in and around the facility
  • Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Comply with company rules, policies, and practices
  • Understand Statistical Process Control and maintain charting as required
  • Authority and responsibility to stop the production line should a safety or quality issue appear
  • Abide by all HSE&E requirements
  • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or any other member of management

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Production Supervisor

Education Required: High School education or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • Possess good communication and analytical skills
  • Possess a consistent employment record that includes good attendance
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
